Interactive SBC – The first Romanian defense company to achieve CMMI Level 2 Rating for System Engineering
BUCHAREST, May 21st, 2010 — Interactive SBC, a leading capability provider of Communications & Information Systems for the Defense and Homeland Security Market is proud to announce that has successfully achieved the Maturity Level 2 rating during its recent Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI®) appraisal. The CMMI Level 2 rating was awarded for process maturity in the company’s project engineering, systems engineering, software engineering, process and product quality assurance, supplier agreements and other functions.
CMMI® is a worldwide product integration and process improvement standard, and its ratings have become a key competitive differentiator on many government programs worldwide. Moreover CMMI is recognized as an international standard for independent benchmarking within industry for maturity in critical technical and managerial processes and his Maturity Level 2 rating indicates that the projects of the organization have ensured that processes are planned and executed in accordance with the policy and the existing practices are retained during times of stress.

The CMMI Level 2 rating was achieved in April 2010 during a SCAMPI A (Standard CMMI® Appraisal Method for Process Improvement) appraisal led by a SEI-licensed lead appraiser. The appraisal activities were performed at Interactive SBC premises in Bucharest, against the CMMI for Development v1.2 (CMMI-DEV v1.2) standard.
